My Story
My name is Vilasinee Cartoon Givanon. I am a multidisciplinary designer based in Manhattan. I partnered with global brands, museums and emerging businesses to create exciting and meaningful experiences, whether digital or non-digital.

I spent the last 10 years designing, and directing work for some of the world’s most exciting and forward-thinking brands, such as Smithsonian, Izzipizi, Eyetamin, The San Francisco Chocolate Factory, Compagnie de Provence, Pevonia, Inouitoosh, Another Story, etc. I won two awards from London International Creative Competition and 12th Annual International Design Awards.

Where are you from?
I lived in 7 countries and 12 cities ( Tokyo, Osaka, Hong-Kong, Kunming, Bangkok, Perth, London, Upland, Denton, Chicago, San Francisco, and NYC) which made me become very open-minded and adaptable. My dad was an engineer and we had to move to a new country every 3-4 years. I found it's difficult to say where I am from because I've considered a lot of places home. To add even more confusion into the mix, my mom is German- Vietnamese and my dad is Chinese -Vietnamese. I was born in Bangkok!

Is your name really Cartoon?
YES! Cartoon is my middle name. My mom named me Cartoon because she loves watching cartoons! I don't have a favorite cartoon but I can tell you that I am very Disney at heart.
Other interests?
You can find me in a kitchen, when I'm not doing creative works (I was told I am a good cook). I love cooking a lot and I have invented a few recipes. I love to share my recipes with everyone via my Instagram account. Follow me at cooking_with_cartoon.
